When I wrote part 1 I had a way longer list than what I originally planned but I didn’t want my post to go on and on and on so I cut it in half. Everyone seemed to like that list so I went on to make part 2.
Music and Lyrics
This is a rom com that I saw in theaters when it came out and loved! It’ll surprise you with the story line, and how well the actors work together.
Hush
Shaun and I watched this and loved it so much we watched it again a week later when his family came to visit. It is so suspenseful and will have you on the edge of your seat and holding your breath the whole time.
Silver Linings Playbook
This is such a good one. Bradley Cooper is so versatile and can play any role. I think he made that even more clear in his role in A Star Is Born. He did such a good job in this. It’s a good date night movie! 🙂
Baby Mama
This movie makes me crack up from the beginning to the end. Tina Fey and Amy Poehler are an unbeatable duo. Watch this if you want a good laugh.
Switch
Okay, I’ve seen this about a hundred times. Jason Bateman and Jennifer Aniston are amazing together in this movie. It’ll make you laugh, cry, and feel all the feels.
Monster-in-Law
I mean…who isn’t a J-Lo fan?
American Gangster
This movie is based on a true story starring Denzel Washington and Russell Crowe. The acting, the storyline, everything about it is outstanding.
Daddy Day Care
Shaun and I watched this not too long ago and it reminded me of how cute it is. It’s so funny and all the kids in the movie are just adorable.
He’s Out There
We recently watched this one when we were in the mood for a thriller. We searched Netflix for something we’d never seen before and landed on this one. I wouldn’t say it’s 10/10 but it’s definitely a good movie to keep you on the edge of your seat. Watch it during girl’s night with a glass of wine. 🙂
The Boondocks Saints
This one is an oldie, but a goodie. If you’re looking for action this is the one.
The Founder
This is the true story of Ray Kroc, a salesman who turned McDonald’s into what it is today. It started out with two brothers and a small building and now McDonald’s is the biggest restaurant business in the world.
8 Mile
Another oldie but goodie. This movie is like our Detroit Anthem. 😂 It’s Eminem’s story about his rise to fame and where it all started, starring Eminem.
Silence of the Lambs
This was a new watch for me. Shaun couldn’t believe I’d never seen this so we watched it and I loved it. It’s a psychological thriller and the acting is impeccable. I know it’s old but if you haven’t seen it you need to.
Sixteen Candles
This one is a classic. It’s one of those feel good movies that leave you better off than when they found you. Highly recommend. 🙂
I Am Legend
I think Shaun and I could watch this a thousand times and still never get sick of it. I love anything Will Smith but this one has an amazing storyline. This one definitely keeps you on the edge of your seat!
