So once I came to the realization that I may be writing posts just to write them I took a step back. I started living life and taking pictures while living instead of taking pictures to make it look like I was living a certain life. I think there’s a huge misconception with bloggers and influencers and what our daily lives look like. I would probably need a whole blog post dedicated to that but I’ll break it down quickly for you here.
For the longest time I have been told that I’m an over-thinker who is constantly working and never takes time to shut my brain off. I’d like to argue this but it’s, in fact, 100% true. To my defense, I just never knew what my type of self-care looked like. I didn’t know how to relax. People would tell me to go to yoga, meditate, or go get a massage. And while that may be great for someone else, that’s not what my perfect day looks like.
Things are getting real here today on the blog. I saw something the other day that hit a nerve, so a quick vent session turned into a whole blog post. I saw someone on social media complaining about how things can’t be “that tough” after just a few short months of marriage. Now, this girl was talking about someone she doesn’t know very well, and so I’m going to go ahead and assume she doesn’t know very much about their relationship. Here’s what I have to say about that.
